This jewelry comes from one of the leading trading posts in the
heart of the Indian Nation. Established over 35 years ago, the owners
recently retired and liquidated $200,000 wholesale ($450,000 retail)
of their inventory to Alltribes. They worked with some of the best
Navajo and Zuni jewelers and kept to the highest standards of quality
and craftsmanship. This jewelry features unique designs and quality

The serpent deities are symbols of abundant rainfall to some tribes
and some use the serpent as a totem for healing stomach and kidney
ailments, while some tribes believed that to ensure success on the
battlefield and in the hunt they would cover their arrows with rattlesnake
skins to give their weapons the ability to strike with snakelike
swiftness.

Effie Calavaza is a Native American jewelry artist of the Zuni
Pueblo. Her work is in high demand world wide. She specializes
in using large gemstones, sand casting Sterling Silver, and
creating dazzling serpent deity designs. Effie has had many
immitators over seas and she even had to go to the Supreme Court
to gain copyright protection of her work to stop the copy cat
improts. She has been creating incredible pieces of Silver jewelry
non-stop since 1956. |
