Sterling silver 16 turquoise stone squash blossom. There are 4 blossoms along each side measuring 1" from blossom to stone. There are silver leaves next to each stone along with twist wire design. The naja has 8 turquoise stones with 1 single stone that dangles in the middle. The naja is approximately 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/4" high at tallest point. It is strung with sterling silver beads and is 22" long. It is a Navajo made squash. (sold)

Overlay is created by "sweating" or soldering, two pieces of silver together. The top piece contains a design element which is meticulously cut out of silver. The bottom piece is oxidized and often textured to produce a contrasting background. Then carefully filed, buffed and polished to produce this fine finish.
